On February 2 around 7 p.m., a
30-year-old Jersey City man suspected of PCP intoxication crashed his car into
vehicles at the City Line Plaza parking lot in Bayonne, police said. Police
said he could barely stand without leaning on his car. The man was taken to
Bayonne Medical Center, where he consented to a blood test. The man was charged
with driving while intoxicated, careless driving, leaving the scene of an
accident, and failure to wear a seatbelt.
Are You Arrested for DWI in New Jersey?
If your blood alcohol level is
greater than 0.08%, then you are likely to be charged with DWI. You may face heavy
fines and several months of imprisonment. You might also lose your driving
privileges for several months
If you receive more DWI charges, then you may be registered
as a DWI offender. This can cause your insurance provider to decide that you
are a high-risk driver, and raise your insurance premiums. Charges for DWI are
more severe if anyone is injured or killed in the accident for which you are
responsible.
If you find yourself in legal
trouble for driving under the influence or driving while intoxicated, then the
best course of action is to hire an experienced NJ DWI attorney immediately. Your
DWI lawyer will seek to protect your rights in DWI cases.
